SHINING RIVER was a temporary land-art exhibition commissioned by the City Council of Portobuffolè in Treviso, Italy. The artwork was conceived and realized in the old bed of the river Livenza. Nowadays the river is dry, and the artwork emphasised what used to be an important commercial and communication crossroads. The use thin sheets of foil allowed to re-create a light-reflecting structure which, in the presence of wind, simulated the movement of water. The project was conceived and realised in collaboration with Gabriele Grossi.
